What is Racing for Children’s?
The Racing for Children’s concept was brought to life by motorsports enthusiasts and Children’s of Alabama supporters who seek to engage the community in raising funds and awareness for The Alabama Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders. Each year, Racing for Children’s honors Children’s of Alabama patients who serve as honorary crew chiefs for the Racing for Children’s race car, leading the team in the race to cure cancer.
What is the Alabama Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders?
At the Alabama Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders, we care for the overwhelming majority of children and adolescents in Alabama who are diagnosed with cancer or serious blood disorders. We focus on three main goals- providing excellent patient care, participating in innovative and groundbreaking research and promoting the educational development of the future leaders and scientists in our field. With its eye to the future, our dedicated experts continue to meet essential goals, among them giving our families access to the latest treatment options and most promising clinical trials without having to travel out of state. Our dreams and goals are large, but within our reach with your support.
