GROUP 2: VINTAGE PRODUCTION
Production cars from the ’50s & ’60s, early sports racing cars. Examples: Jaguar XK120, MGA, MGB, TR4, Alfa Romeo, Austin Healy, Sprite, Spitfire, Mini-Cooper, early Corvette, Lotus Eleven, Elva, Porsche 356, Street Stock D, etc.
GROUP 3: VINTAGE/HISTORIC PRODUCTION
Production cars from the middle ’60s thru the early ’80s. Examples: Jaguar XKE, Lotus 7, Elan, MGB/V-8, Porsche 911, 914/6, 924, 944, Datsun 240Z, B-Sedans, early A-Sedans, Street Stock B & C, etc.
GROUP 4A: CLASSIC MONOPOSTO
Early small-bore open-wheel formula racing cars. Examples: Formula B, Formula 2, Formula Junior, Formula Ford, Club Ford. (treaded tires)
GROUP 4B: MONOPOSTO FORMULA 70
Wings and slicks small-bore formula cars through 1979 specs. Examples: Formula 1, Formula 2, Formula Atlantic, Formula 5000, Formula Super Vee, Formula Continental, etc.
GROUP 4C: MODERN ERA FORMULA CARS
Big-bore open-wheel formula racing cars. Examples: Indy Cars, Formula 1, Indy Lights, Formula 2, Toyota Atlantic, Formula 3000, etc.
GROUP 5: HISTORIC BIG-BORE PRODUCTION
Production sports & GT cars 1960-1974. Examples: GT350, Cobra, Camara, Boss 302, Corvette, Jaguar XKE, Porsche 911 RS, RSR, Street Stock A, etc. (treaded tires)
GROUP 6: RACING PROTOTYPES
IMSA GTP, Camel Lights, FIA Group C/C2, WSC, LMP, LMPC, Daytona Prototypes, modern track day specials, etc. Examples: Porsche 962, Tiga, Kudzu, Spice, Nissan GTP, Toyota GTP, Jaguar XJR, Audi, Riley & Scott, Lola, etc.
GROUP 7: HISTORIC/MODERN SPORTS RACERS
Classic Can-Am, Center-seat Can-Am, FIA Championship of Makes, 2.0L Sports Cars, Sports 2000. Examples: GT40, McLaren, Lola, Mirage, Porsche, Chevron, March, Swift, Tiga, Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, etc.
GROUP 8: HISTORIC STOCK CARS
Historic Busch, Nationwide, Winston Cup, Nextel Sprint Cup stock cars and trucks.
GROUP 9: POST-HISTORIC GT
IMSA GTO, GTX, AAGT, GTS1/2, SCCA Trans-Am, GT1/2, Grand-Am GT, etc. Examples: Dekon Monza, Corvette, Porsche 911 RSR, 934, 935, Jaguar, Mustang, Capri, Camara, Mazda RX7, etc.
GROUP 10: MODERN ERA GLOBAL GT CHALLENGE SERIES
FIA GT4, Porsche GT3 Cup, Ferrari Challenge, World Challenge, Grand-Am GS, etc. Examples: BMW M3, Porsche Cup cars; 964, 993, 996, 997, 991, Ferrari 348, 355, 360, 430, 458 Challenge, Corvette C5, C6, Viper, Panoz, Porsche Cayman, Boxster, etc. (Non-tube frame), Lotus Challenge.
GROUP 11: MODERN SPORTS RACERS & TRACK DAY CARS
Radical, Caterham, Stohr, Praga, Shelby Can-Am, Noble, Ultima, Super1tte, Barras, Wo, etc.
SASCO SPORTS INTERNATIONAL/AMERICAN CHALLENGE
Foreign Production Sports Cars (over 1.5L) vs. American GT Cars from (Groups 2, 3, 5); (No sports racers).
STONER CAR CARE/HSR GLOBAL GT
Global GT is composed of cars that might have competed in the FIA GT Championship for Grand Touring cars competing in the GT1, GT2, GT3 & GT4 categories, Grand Am GT, Trans-Am as well as the various “Cup” and “Challenge” series cars.
